This year our friends and business partners Jan & Jim have built a schoolhouse with 4 classrooms in Nong Khai province, the North Eastern region of Thailand. The construction is scheduled to be complete in early December 2010. Baan Suay Long School provides an educational program from kindergarten to elementary levels for underprivileged students. Currently, there are 48 students and 3 teachers.  The current schoolhouse was built over 30 years ago, in a deteriorated condition and damaged by termites. The school receives minimal financial support from the government and looks for contribution to build their new schoolhouse. We are glad to join Jan & Jim in contributing and supporting this school, and we are looking very much forward to visit the students upon one of our next trips to Thailand.
